Women's day: MTDC offers 50% discount on room charges for bookings made by women travellers

MUMBAI: As part of International Women's Day celebrations, which falls on March 8, the state tourism department -- MTDC -- has offered a 50% discount on room charges for bookings made by women travellers.
The offer will be open for room bookings at all resorts and will be applicable on the bookings which will have check-in dates between March 6 and 10, informed MTDC officials. The discounted charges will not include food and breakfast.
The offer, said an MTDC circular, is exclusively for women travellers along with their friends, families, and relatives. The woman traveller who will book the room will have to be present at the time of check-in.
"Travel agents will not be able to charge commission on these bookings. Neither, the offer can be clubbed with other available discounts," the booking conditions suggested.
